Program Overview
Funded by Central Mallee Health and open to all Sea Lake educators, Perri will lead staff through an interactive workshop on supporting students with additional needs including understanding neurodiversity. Teachers and aides are welcome to bring along real life examples to explore together to make the most out of the hour.
About Presenter

Perri Ashton
Perri is a registered Educational and Developmental Psychologist, Board Approved Supervisor, and Programs Lead at Solution Psychology. She has experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families across a range of settings, including primary, secondary, and specialist schools, as well as private practice.
Perri has a strong interest in neurodevelopmental assessments and is passionate about providing affirming, evidence-based evaluations to support understanding, self-advocacy, and meaningful outcomes. She conducts cognitive, educational, behavioural, and developmental assessments, with particular interests in autism, ADHD, learning differences, and anxiety.
Perri takes a person-centred, neurodiversity-affirming, and strength-based approach in her work. She draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care to support clients across the lifespan. Perri also collaborates with school teams and provides consultation and professional development for educators to support inclusive, student-centred practices.
Perri is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and empowering space for neurodivergent individuals and their families. She values celebrating individuality, highlighting strengths, and supporting each person’s unique goals.
Outside of work, Perri enjoys spending time with her dog Twiggy, and getting out into nature.
