Crafty Crew

A social and creative art program

Does your child love making things and expressing themselves through art?
Crafty Crew is a warm, welcoming group designed for children who are keen to build social confidence, connect with others, and explore their creativity in a supportive environment.

This group offers a gentle and engaging space where children can practise important skills such as creativity, collaboration, and emotional expression, while having fun through hands-on creative projects.

Who is this group for?

Crafty Crew is a great fit for children who are drawn to creative activities and may benefit from a smaller, structured setting to explore friendships. It’s particularly supportive for children who experience the world in their own unique way and who might find large or unstructured social settings a bit overwhelming at times.

We’ll be running two groups:

  • Junior Crew (ages 7–9)
  • Senior Crew (ages 10–12)

Through shared creativity, the group encourages authentic connection, allowing friendships to develop naturally and confidence to grow.

What happens in each session?

Each session includes a mix of individual and collaborative art-based activities, gentle group reflection, and plenty of opportunities for fun and connection.
You can choose from a range of guided creative projects or bring along a craft or artwork you are already working on. Creativity and self-direction are encouraged, and everyone is invited to move at their own pace.

Themes we may explore include:

  • Friendship and belonging
  • Identity and self-expression
  • Sharing creative ideas and projects
  • Exploring personal values and goals

Examples of creative projects include:

  • Friendship frames – designing and decorating frames to celebrate friendship and connection
  • 2026 vision boards – creating inspiring boards to set goals and intentions for the new year
  • Empowering jewellery – using beads and charms to represent personal strengths and qualities
  • Hidden mandalas – exploring self-expression through colour, pattern, and mindfulness
  • Collaborative art pieces – creating something as a team to build connection and cooperation

Interested in joining?

If your child hasn’t attended Solution Psychology before, we’ll need to organise a brief intake appointment before they start (fees apply). This helps us make sure the group is a good fit and sets your child up for success.

To book or learn more, please contact our friendly team on 9988 7760.
We look forward to welcoming your child into Crafty Crew—a space where creativity and connection come together.
