Program Overview
Brianna will lead school staff through an interactive workshop on supporting our own mental health and managing stress. Teachers and aides are all welcome as we explore practical strategies to cope with every day stress and proactively manage our mental health.
About Presenter
Brianna Pawlowicz
Ages: 9 – 25 years old, Adults
Brianna is a provisionally registered psychologist, who has completed her Master of Professional Psychology at Cairnmillar Institute and is undertaking her sixth year in supervised practice.
Brianna emphasises the importance of having a whole person centered approach to sessions. She is passionate about ensuring clients feel comfortable, relaxed and heard within sessions. Brianna feels a solid therapeutic relationship, collaborative approach and modifying her approach to suit clients needs are all crucial to achieving positive outcomes.
She sees each individual as unique and aims to help her clients comprehend the underlying function of their mental health and well-being . Brianna values supporting her clients holistically and collaborating with parents, teachers and other health professionals to foster a greater understanding of her clients’ strengths and challenges.
Brianna has experience working with a wide range of psychological concerns across the lifespan in her previous position in a private practice setting. She has worked mainly with children however has experience with individuals who have experienced challenges with stress, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and trauma. Brianna draws upon a wide variety of evidence-based psychological treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBI) and other therapeutic approaches.
Brianna enjoys catering sessions to clients and engaging them by incorporating their interests and making accommodations so they feel comfortable and at ease.
When Brianna isn’t supporting her clients at work, you will likely find her outside, playing netball, camping or spending time with family and friends.
