Educational & Developmental Psychologist
Helen Tourni is an Educational and Developmental psychologist and board approved supervisor. Helen works with children, adolescents, parents and teachers in a wide range of presentations including anxiety, depression, autism, inattention and hyperactivity, emotional dysregulation and learning difficulties. Helen is skilled as both an educator and a mental health professional, having worked as a teacher prior to moving into the field of psychology.
In her therapeutic practice, Helen incorporates a range of evidence-based psychological treatments including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), behavioural intervention strategies, social skills training and mindfulness techniques.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts (Psychology)
- Bachelor of Teaching (Primary)
- Post-graduate diploma in Psychology
- Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental)
- Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, AHPRA
- Board Approved Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia, AHPRA
