Psychologist
Eliza is a registered psychologist with a Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology who is passionate about supporting young people and their families. She assists clients in navigating a range of challenges, including anxiety, stress, self-esteem issues, depression, and school-related difficulties. Eliza also has experience supporting autistic individuals and young people with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Eliza takes a person-centred, strengths-based, and neuro-affirming approach, tailoring her support to each individual’s unique strengths and interests. Her practice is grounded in evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques. She integrates creativity and play-based therapy approaches when working with younger children, ensuring that therapy remains engaging.
Eliza places a high value on building strong, collaborative relationships with young people and their families, schools, and other health professionals, aiming to provide holistic and comprehensive support.
Her master’s research focused on the experiences of LGBTQIA+ adolescents in Australia with peer connection and belonging in online environments. As an inclusive and affirming practitioner, Eliza is committed to creating a safe and welcoming space for her clients.
Before pursuing her master’s, Eliza worked as a camp counsellor in Canada, where she developed her passion for helping young people.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts (Major in Psychology)
- Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours)
- Masters of Educational and Developmental Psychology
- Member of the Australia Psychological Society
- Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, AHPRA
