Alana is a Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about providing a collaborative space where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to work toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for them.
Alana has experience supporting adolescents, adults, and older adults across public health and community settings. She has experience working with anxiety, mood difficulties, obsessive–compulsive experiences, trichotillomania (hair-pulling), trauma, emotional dysregulation, life transitions, deliberate self-injury, suicidal ideation, chronic health conditions, and neurodivergence. Alana is now expanding her practice to include children under 12.
Alana draws from a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. She prioritises the therapeutic relationship and tailors her approach to each person’s goals, strengths, cultural background, and developmental stage. She also works collaboratively with caregivers and support systems to provide holistic care. Alana is committed to maintaining a trauma-informed, respectful, and safe space that affirms people of all neurotypes, sexualities, genders, and cultures.
Outside of work, Alana enjoys reformer Pilates, reading, watching the latest Netflix series, and spending quality time with friends and family.
