Georgia is a psychologist who completed her master’s degree in Educational and Developmental Psychology. Georgia has a passion for working with young people and recognises the importance of early intervention and support to promote the best outcomes for individuals in adulthood. Georgia volunteered in orphanages and disadvantaged group homes from a young age, which inspired her to work in a helping profession. Georgia adopts a warm and empathetic approach as a psychologist and it is important to her that her clients feel heard and that their needs can be advocated for.

 

Georgia provides psychological therapy for young people and their family. She enjoys working collaboratively with clients, families, educators and health professionals. She adopts Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Play Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy treatment approaches to support her clients. Georgia adopts neuro-affirming practice.

 

Georgia has experience in providing autism, ADHD, psychoeducational and cognitive assessments for young people. Georgia has offered a range of different assessments since becoming registered as a general psychologist, which has seen her work with different age ranges, neurodevelopmental presentations, learning abilities and cultural and linguistic differences. Georgia recognises the importance of communicating with stakeholders such as health professionals and educators to develop further insight and understanding of client’s presentation and strengths and challenges.

 

Georgia recognises that each individual possesses a range of unique strengths and utilises this throughout her psychological therapy and assessments to promote change and growth.

  • Bachelor of Psychological Science
  • Graduate Diploma of Psychology
  • Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology
  • Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, AHPRA
